Quantum Catz: BM: ::has just heard from the doctor to confirm that she is pregnant and is currently out looking for Dan to tell him the news; she still isn't feeling very well but the doctor told her that that was probably just because the pregnancy had lowered her immune system somewhat::
YarnKittymon: DN: ::is out in the forest near the town, intently watching a rabbit hole, downwind of it::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::stays quiet; he's with Becky, having gone to the doctor to get the news, and can't keep a nervous, but genuine, smile off his face--but he's just there for company; he has no intention of breaking the news to Daniel::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::runs a bit ahead of Toby when she sees the large cat, smiling at his vigil on the rabbit hole:: Hey Dan
YarnKittymon: DN: ::looks up, frowning:: I hope you didn't scare the rabbits.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::clears his throat, thinking they did something worse than scare one::
Quantum Catz: BM:: ::jokingly:: It's nice to see you too
YarnKittymon: DN: ::gets up, his tail twitching:: It's still more fun than school.
Quantum Catz: BM: There's something...we need to talk to you about
YarnKittymon: DN: ::looks up at Becky, frowning:: I told you, Mrs. Ganna doesn't like me!
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sighs:: Yeah, I need to talk to you about that too - but there's something else first
YarnKittymon: DN: ::his ears go back:: And I already made it up to Tim; he promised he wouldn't tell!
Quantum Catz: BM:: ::raises an eyebrow:: I haven't seen Tim but maybe i should go pay him a visit
YarnKittymon: DN: ::frowns, his tail down:: Then what *did* you hear about?
Quantum Catz: BM: You mean there's more that i *could* have heard about?
YarnKittymon: DN: ::quietly:: It's not my fault. I'm a big cat; everyone's scared of me.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sighs:: I know it's not all your fault Dan, it's better here than New York, as least.. But i didn't come to find you because you're in trouble, there's something i have to tell you
YarnKittymon: DN: ::his ears go forward again:: What is it?
Quantum Catz: BM: ::glances at Toby and then turns back to Dan:: Well...we've just been to the doctor and...i'm pregnant
YarnKittymon: DN: ::his ears go back again; blinks:: What? A baby?
Quantum Catz: ((what does his ears going back mean? is that a bad thing or just surprise?))
YarnKittymon: ((Just instinctive; not sure he's thrilled about the news or anything))
Quantum Catz: BM: ::can't help but smile a bit:: Yeah, a baby
Quantum Catz: ((just checking that it wasn't a sign he was annoyed or anything that becky might notice ;)))
YarnKittymon: DN: ::quietly:: So you want me to leave.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::confused:: What? Why would we want you to leave?
YarnKittymon: DN: Mrs. Ganna got rid of *her* cat when she had a baby. Said it was dangerous.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::rolls her eyes since she doesn't particularly like Mrs. Ganna:: You're not just some *pet*, Dan
YarnKittymon: DN: But I'm almost grown-up.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::has to stop herself from aruging that if he was so grown up then he wouldn't be skipping school and getting in trouble but sighs:: Well i don't want you to leave
YarnKittymon: DN: ::finally smiles a bit, rubbing his hand up hard against Becky's hand::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::kneels down and rubs Dan's head:: So you're happy for us then?
YarnKittymon: DN: ::quietly:: I guess. ::looks back at Toby:: But it's his fault, isn't it?
Quantum Catz: BM: His fault?
YarnKittymon: DN: That you're pregnant.
Quantum Catz: BM: Well...for one thing, it's nobody's *fault* if it's a good thing and for another...I'd like to think that i have a bit to do with it, seeing as it's my body n all
YarnKittymon: DN: ::blinks at Becky a few times, his tail swishing::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::quietly:: It's not gonna change the way she feels about you, Dan.
YarnKittymon: DN: ::looks away; quietly:: I want to know how it happens.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::isn't really sure what to say; she's talked to girls at the orphanage about sex before but a male cat isn't quite the same:: Um...
YarnKittymon: TY: ::looks at Becky, flushing, then, quietly:: I could tell him. ::before the cat can bristle:: And Dan can ask you follow-up questions to make sure I wasn't lying.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::looks at Dan to see what he thinks of the suggestion:: Dan?
YarnKittymon: DN: ::meows once, but quietly, looking at Becky:: If you don't want to.
Quantum Catz: BM: Well...it's different for men and women...it might be better for you to hear about it from a guy ::though a small part of her can't help but think it would be even better to hear it from a Shuhuh::
YarnKittymon: TY: I can at least tell you the basics.
YarnKittymon: DN: ::nods, his tail swishing:: Okay.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::smiles weakly, wondering if Dan would ever really like and trust Toby the way he did her::
YarnKittymon: TY: C'mon, Daniel; let's go out in the forest. Then if I start boring you, you can at least grab a rabbit or a bird.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::puts her hand on her stomach, wishing that the news could have just been something for Dan to get excited and happy about, rather than another obstacle in the equivalent of his teenage years::

YarnKittymon: : ::later, Daniel comes back to the house, before Toby; slips inside and tracks Becky down, looking up at her and meowing once::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::smiles uncertainly at Dan:: Hey
YarnKittymon: DN: ::quietly:: Toby said Sara might grow up to like me. Is that true?
Quantum Catz: BM: She might, yeah. Why? Do you like her?
YarnKittymon: DN: ::nods:: Yeah. ::tail swishes:: Toby said...he felt the same way about you.
Quantum Catz: BM: It's...kind of part of growing up. You start to realise that there are people out there who make you feel...happier...than all the others do
YarnKittymon: DN: ::nods:: Yeah. ::stretches his claws:: Toby understood too.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::smiles slightly:: He did, did he?
YarnKittymon: DN: ::nods:: And if Toby makes you feel that way too...I can understand why you married him. And why...why you want a baby with him too.
Quantum Catz: BM: Well i'd like to think that you're happy i'm having the baby too - i'm sure he'll love to play with his Uncle Dan when he's older
YarnKittymon: DN: ::his eyes light up, and he smiles:: I'm happy if you're happy.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::chuckles slightly:: Well that's a better reaction than before
YarnKittymon: DN: ::grins:: I don't like babies...but maybe I'll like yours.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::laughs:: I'm sure you will
