~Thursday, August 9th, 1928 second take part 1~

YarnKittymon: TY: ::wakes up just a bit past dawn; yawns and stretches, opening his eyes::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::is sleeping curled up against him, her head resting against his back::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::is laying slumped over the rock, fast asleep:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::rather surprised to feel Becky against his own body; reaches back and touches Becky's face, awkwardly, not sitting up; softly:: Hey.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::groans slightly but doesn't open her eyes::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smiles; gently sits up, looking down at Becky; takes her hand, enjoying it more than she could ever know::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::after a while she mumbles, her eyes still closed:: Is is morning?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::softly:: Yeah...::glances over at the other bed, and sees that Maeve's not there; looks the other way, and sees the bathroom door is open; softly, but sounding rather anxious:: Maeve didn't sleep on the floor, did she?
Quantum Catz: BM: ::eyes still closed:: No...but she was still awake when i went to sleep...
YarnKittymon: TY: ::gets out of bed, looking around; when he sees Maeve isn't there, he curses, and sits down to put his shoes on:: Come on, Becky.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sits up and runs her hand through her hair, slowly getting out of bed:: She might've just gone for a walk
YarnKittymon: TY: ::bitterly:: Or she might've gone to call the cops.
Quantum Catz: BM: Why would she do that?
YarnKittymon: TY: Well, it's happened to me before.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::softly:: Well Maeve doesn't want to die anymore than we want to be arrested so she wouldn't do that
YarnKittymon: TY: ::pauses; softly:: I guess not. ::opens the door and looks out:: The car's still there. Wherever she went, it wasn't too far.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::suddenly laughs weakly:: Knowing Maeve she might well be lost in that forest
YarnKittymon: TY: ::goes back and picks up a chocolate bar:: Well, maybe we can lure her back.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::chuckles as she puts on her shoes::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::goes to the door, sighing a little:: Last time someone ran off from an escape, he wound up...not making it out, and the time before, he was trying to turn us in. I hope this turns out different.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::goes to the door as well:: What's going to happen to her in the forest? For all we know she only left five minutes ago, i'm sure she's fine ::smiles reassuringly::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::leaves the room, locking it after they're out:: She left it unlocked, too. To the forest, then?
Quantum Catz: BM: I guess so...there aren't many other places she could've gone - a family went in there last night - maybe they saw her
YarnKittymon: TY: Right.
YarnKittymon: : ::the aforementioned family is already back at their car, putting their gear away, but Toby approaches them and learns that they saw someone who matches Maeve's description early last night, and tell them the way she went::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::can't help but groan when she hears what they say about maeve leaving the night before::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::frowns, glancing back at the reception building, as if he wants to check there, but he just heads towards the forest, his hands in his pockets::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::hurries after him:: She probably is lost then...
YarnKittymon: TY: ::nods, not voicing his thoughts; goes down to where the family's camp was, and turns the direction they said she was in:: Should we call for her? ::curses:: If anyone's around who knows her name...it's not like it's a
YarnKittymon: common one.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sighs:: She's awfully good at causing problems...
YarnKittymon: TY: Well, keep your eyes open. ::looks around for signs of footsteps or Maeve tripping::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::does the same::
YarnKittymon: : ::a bird suddenly lands on Maeve's arm, its tiny talons scratching her skin::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::she wakes up screaming, flailing her arms and slides off the rock, dangling over the edge of the ravine::: Um. help?
YarnKittymon: TY: Did you hear something?
Maeve Owens: MV: :::tightens her grip on the rock and looks over her shoulder; she gulps::: Now you're really screwed. :::she tries to find a foothold to push herself back up with. She slides back down, panicking::: Ummm. anyone out there! Help!
Quantum Catz: BM: Okay, i heard that ::runs towards Maeve's voice::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::follows Becky quickly::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::makes another tentive glance over her shoulder::: Oh that doesn't look like fun. :::she tries once more to push herself up but doesn't have enough upper body strength to quite make it. The lack of foothold isn't helping:::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::reaches Maeve; mutters:: Hell ::then tries to help Maeve get back up, although she probably isn't strong enough on her own::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::gets to Maeve as well, reaches his hand down, grabbing Maeve's other arm, and holding tightly to the rock with his other hand::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::sighs in relief::: about time you guys showed up
Quantum Catz: BM: ::groans:: What were you doing here anyway?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::plants his feet and pulls as hard as he can::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::still holding onto the rock, afriad to let go:::: I was sleeping until a bird decided to wake me up.
YarnKittymon: TY: How about a little less talk?
Maeve Owens: MV: :::grumbles::: Sorry. :::using her arms she tries to help pull herself up, her feet finally finding a place to plant themselves:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::slumps down against the rock, having left an imprint of his left hand in its surface; is breathing hard, and glaring at Maeve::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::tries to smile apalogetically at him while they finish hauling her the rest of the way up::::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::gets her over the edge, looking even angrier when she's safe::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::still smiling up at him apologetically, realizes that isn't working and kind of backs away from him::: Um im sorry?
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sighs and backs away from the ravine once Maeve's back on solid ground, breathing heavily:: Couldn't you just've stayed put last night?
Maeve Owens: MV: I couldn't sleep I need a walk. I wasn't *planning* on getting lost.
YarnKittymon: TY: You could've *died*! Or been caught! And then they would've found *us* too!
Quantum Catz: BM: ::looks at the ground::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::jumps and shrinks back at his outburst::: Who is going to catch me out here!? There is no one around! Becides, you pointed out that no one would even recognize us!
YarnKittymon: TY: I've already lost two people that went running off on me! If you have to go off and get yourself killed you might as well just do it now!
Maeve Owens: MV: :::glares at him, then turns on her heal and walks off. Not in the right direction either::: Fine! Consider me dead then!
Quantum Catz: BM: Maeve! Come back!
YarnKittymon: TY: *I* could hardly make it on my own; what makes you think *you* could?
Maeve Owens: MV: hey, like I said, Im no longer your obligation, its not like the two of you really want to go trapsing across the country with me anyway! And you just told me I might as well get myself killed now anway! what do *you* care!
YarnKittymon: TY: I don't *know*! But we don't want you to go get hurt!
Quantum Catz: BM: ::groans:: Maeve! If we didn't care we'd've left you in that jail, wouldn't we? Please don't run off
Maeve Owens: MV: :::turns around to glare at them::: I was under the impression that the only reason you broke me out was because you felt obligated after I saved your life!
Quantum Catz: BM: I felt *obligated* because you're my *friend*!
YarnKittymon: TY: I *did* it so you wouldn't die.
Maeve Owens: MV: :::sighs, and makes little patterns in the ground with the toe of her shoe, not knowing what to say:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::quietly:: Come on, Maeve. We need to get going.
Maeve Owens: MV: :::nods her head, looking at the ground.:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::heads back the way they came, silently::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::waits for Maeve to start walking back before she does::
Maeve Owens: MV: :::smiles slightly at Becky before following Toby:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::glances back at Maeve, then throws her the chocolate bar:: Here.
Maeve Owens: MV: :::grinning, she catches it::: mmm... breakfast. Thanks. :::tears into it:::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::chuckles::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::softly:: Promise you won't run off again?
Maeve Owens: MV: :::defensively::: I didn't run off.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::frowns, not looking back at Maeve::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::softly:: Well don't *wander* off then
Maeve Owens: MV: :::grins::: Okay, I promise, no more walks off into the forest.
YarnKittymon: TY: Or the desert.
Maeve Owens: MV: :::frowns::: Now where would I find a desert?
YarnKittymon: TY: We'll have to go through Nevada or
YarnKittymon: Arizona or somewhere to get to California, right?
Maeve Owens: MV: We're going that far down? Well, okay then, no deserts. Although those aren't my ideal walking place.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smiles faintly:: All right then. ::goes back up to the room::

YarnKittymon: : ::it's an hour or two after noon when they reach Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Toby suggests they stop there for lunch; their last luck aside, he figures what are the odds of standing out in a large city?::
YarnKittymon: (( http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~jlin/lincoln/by_state/ ))
Maeve34: V: :::squeals in delight and points out the window towards a shop that says chocolate:::: There! Perfect place to have lunch! Who could ask for more?
QuantumCat10: BM: ::chuckles:: Chocolate? Great lunch
Maeve34: MV: :::nods::: I thought so.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::laughs, pulling into a parking lot:: I'd rather have food at a restaurant, but I guess you can buy some chocolate and eat it inside.
Maeve34: MV: Or we could just go over there afterwards and have desert before hitting the road again.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::parks the car, with a few fewer unpleasant noises than the last time he parked it::
QuantumCat10: BM: ::teases:: You're getting better at this driving thing
Maeve34: MV: That sounded like a really bad noise. Really bad noises are never good. Is this thing going to blow up on us? :::opens the door and jumps out, looking at the car:::
YarnKittymon: : ::the car's not smoking or anything; Toby already changed the color to a rather dull black, from the striking burgundy it was before::
YarnKittymon: TY: Can you really do better?
QuantumCat10: BM: ::gets out of the car as well and stretches::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::gets out of the car as well, listening to someone's conversation and leaning against the car::
YarnKittymon: : ::one of the people walking past mentions Ty Cobb, and Toby looks up, mildly interested, and frowning::
Maeve34: MV: :::she is stretching her muscles, trying to work the kinks out of them::: Maybe, guess we'll just have to wait and see. Unless of course you're to scared to let me get behind the wheel and show you up. ::::grins:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smirks:: We have to get you licensed first, though. I'll do it tonight; all this driving's making my arms a little tired.
Maeve34: MV: ::::smiles:: Yay!
YarnKittymon: TY: ::watches the people walk off, frowning slightly::
Maeve34: MV: :::she looks over at the people and then back to Toby::: Do you know those people?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::quietly:: No. They were going to the baseball game.
Maeve34: MV: Okay. Then what was with the frown? You want to go see the baseball game?
QuantumCat10: BM: It'd be just a *bit* hard to get into if you did
YarnKittymon: TY: ::shrugs:: I'd wanted to go to the one in New York...see the Red Sox play the Yankees. Woulda been a good game, seeing Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig play. ::puts his hands in his pockets, walking towards the chocolate shop::
Maeve34: MV: :::looks down at the ground:::: Oh.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smiles back at Maeve:: It's okay; I'm from Boston. I shouldn't've wanted to go watch my team get trounced anyway.
Maeve34: MV: :::she nods, still not meeting his eyes::: So I guess you already know the outcome then?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::laughs:: No, but it's the Yankees versus the Red Sox. Even a real fan knows Boston's not gonna win.
QuantumCat10: BM: What's so good about the Yankees?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smirks:: If you want to be honest, they usually beat the Red Sox. And they've got two great players that people've heard of where *I* come from. Wouldn't be surprised if they won the World Series.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::shrugs:: There's a restaurant a couple blocks down the road, unless you need some chocolate to make the journey.
Maeve34: MV: :::shakes her head::: Nah, I'm good. For now anyway.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::smiles slightly:: Let's go then - i'm starving
YarnKittymon: TY: ::slowly:: ...although we *could* go to the game and get something to eat there...
QuantumCat10: BM: ::laughs:: If you really want to go to the game...just say so
Maeve34: MV: :::chuckles::: Why not? I've never seen a game. Just whip us up some tickets. :::quietly::: Im sure they wont be looking for fugutives at a baseball game. Or would they?
YarnKittymon: TY: I don't know how many people go to the games, but there's gotta be...oh, I don't know, 10,000? I don't know where they play. ::more sheepishly:: Or even which team's playing; they had a bunch in every big town...
QuantumCat10: BM: ::chuckles:: I guess we'll have to look around for it then
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smiles:: I'd go ask for directions, but that's not much like a "man," is it?
QuantumCat10: BM: We could always just follow those guys
Maeve34: MV: :::shouts out to the guys in front of them::: Hey! Fellas! Whose playing at the ballpark today?
YarnKittymon: : ::the men look back at Maeve, smiling widely to see a pretty girl asking them about baseball:: The Senators! An easy win!
Maeve34: MV: :::smiles at them::: Nice! Wheres it at?
YarnKittymon: : You just visiting? Shibe Park, down on 21st and Lehigh! It's not far; we'll walk you there, if you like!
YarnKittymon: ((And yeah, it probably was far, but I'm too lazy to try to figure out where the now-defunct Lincoln Highway passed through and how close it is to a baseball stadium that was torn down and a church built on the land. ^_^; ))
Maeve34: MV: :::nods, still smiling sweetly at them::; Yeah, we're just passing through. Not sure if we have time to stay though. Thanks for the help though!
YarnKittymon: : ::the men smile warmly at Maeve:: See you there!
QuantumCat10: BM: ::smiles; softly:: Well that was easy
Maeve34: MV: :::waves at them then looks over at Toby, still smiling::: Now that wasn't so hard now was it? Still interested in going?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::laughs:: I doubt the exchange would've gone so well if *I* would've flirted with them. I guess if we go the direction they're walking, we're bound to find it.
Maeve34: MV: :::looks astonished::: Me? Flirt? How dare you suggest such a thing!
YarnKittymon: TY: ::starts walking, grinning:: What did I say? I just said *I* wouldn't've gotten far by batting my eyelashes at them. I didn't say a *word* about what *you* did.
Maeve34: MV: You implied it.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::laughs::
YarnKittymon: TY: I'll buy you some candy at the game. Will that make up for it?
YarnKittymon: (( http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/american/shibep.htm is where they are going))
Maeve34: MV: Hmmm... :::pauses; contemplating::: well I suppose.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::grins:: Do i get candy too then?
YarnKittymon: TY: Sounds like the way to a *woman's* heart is through her stomach. Or her sweet tooth, anyway.
QuantumCat10: BM: Like we couldn't pay *you* off with a tub of ice-cream
YarnKittymon: TY: You think they have any there?
QuantumCat10: BM: ::chuckles:: I don't know - i've never been to a baseball game
Maeve34: MV: :::walking along quietly beside them, off in her own thoughts and not watching where she is going:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::grins:: Well, one way to find out. ::keeps walking; in less than half a mile's walk, they can see the stadium ahead::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::stops to look, in front of Maeve:: I've never seen it before...musta got torn down later...
QuantumCat10: BM: ::pauses too:: Oh, probably
Maeve34: MV: :::she bumps into Toby and almost falls over:::
YarnKittymon: TY: Hey! Careful!
Maeve34: MV: ::glares at him::: Whats the big idea just stopping in the middle of the road like that!
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smiles faintly:: You really *are* from New York, aren't you?
Maeve34: MV: :::smirks::: Ireland actually. But most of what I know has been learned on the streets of new york.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::starts walking again; he's able to buy tickets at the stadium, though the game's about to start; he gets the closest ones he can, on the lower deck::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::stops at the concession stand before going to the seats, though:: You shouldn't *just* have candy.
Maeve34: MV: :::shrugs::: Fine, then get a hotdog.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::glances at Becky:: What about you?
QuantumCat10: BM: I'll always eat a hotdog
YarnKittymon: TY: ::orders three hot dogs, two candy bars, and some peanuts and Cracker Jack for the soul purpose of going along with the song; the very pretty clerk takes Toby's hand when he offers her the money, telling him to enjoy the game::
QuantumCat10: BM: ::standing behind Toby; looks at the ground so she doesn't end up glaring at the clerk::
Maeve34: MV: :::glances at the people around them, rocking back and forth. She loses her balance but takes a small step backward; catching herself.:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::meets the clerk's gaze for just a moment before looking down as well and pulling his hand back; doesn't reply, and takes the food silently, a blush on his face:: Someone help me carry this?
Maeve34: MV: :::she reaches out and takes her hotdog and candy from him:::
QuantumCat10: BM: ::takes her own food as well, without a word, noticing the blush::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::leads the way to their seats, with a little bit of difficulty, pushing through the crowd; the game's already started by the time they finally get there::
Maeve34: MV: So who are we suppose to be cheering for?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::actually has to check the ticket to find out:: The Athletics. ::smiles a bit:: They move west to Oakland in the future. Like us.
YarnKittymon: : ::the game is rather like a modern baseball game, but, oddly, few of the players sport numbers, so it's a little harder to tell them apart...but the stadium's capacity is only about 30,000, and they have good seats, so they can
YarnKittymon: make out the players' faces::
YarnKittymon: ((And don't ask me who has what colored jersey. ^_-;;; ))
Maeve34: ((know what any of the players look like or can we just make it up on our own?))
YarnKittymon: ((Ty Cobb is on the Athletics; he's a name player...and a mess of them are in the Hall of Fame...but if you have a need to describe a player, go ahead :D ))
Maeve34: MV: :::notices that the other team has a really good looking pitcher. She ends up cheering, *quite loudly*, for him:::
YarnKittymon: (( http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/PHA/1928.shtml says who is who ))
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smirks at Maeve between bites of his food::
YarnKittymon: (( And the Senators http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/WSH/1928.shtml ))
Maeve34: MV: :::looks over at him and shrugs; innocently::: What? :::takes a couple of bites out of her hotdog:::
YarnKittymon: : ::the game is really pretty fun, even without alcohol, and the Athletics do win quite handily, 8 runs to 3::
YarnKittymon: : ::and no one even yells at Maeve for cheering for the wrong team, perhaps taking her cheers as sarcasm::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::smiles at Becky:: How's you like your first baseball game?
QuantumCat10: BM: ::smiles slightly:: It was alright
YarnKittymon: TY: ::takes her hand:: I didn't mean to go bore you or anything...but I wanted to go to at least *one* real game while I was out here. Looks like we'll miss football season, so I figured I'd settle for this.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::chuckles:: It wasn't *that* boring...although it's a good thing Maeve got away with cheering on the other side
Maeve34: MV: :::smiling, and jumping around a little::: That last play was awesome! Three outs in like five seconds flat! :::giggles:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::laughs:: I thought you were cheering for the Senators.
Maeve34: MV: :::shrugs::: I was, but hey, if you cant beat em, join em.
YarnKittymon: TY: ::excuses himself to use the restroom before they get going again::
YarnKittymon: : ::the clerk from before is standing across the way, watching them, smiling faintly::
Maeve34: MV: :::is still bouncing up and down from all the excitement::::
QuantumCat10: BM: ::doesn't like the clerk so she doesn't look her way::
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman finally approaches them:: Good game, wasn't it?
Maeve34: MV: :::looks at the woman strangely, instantly suspicious::: Yeah. It was.
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman smiles, speaking quietly:: I'd like two-thousand dollars, please.
Maeve34: MV: :::laughs outloud::: Wouldn't we all?
QuantumCat10: BM: ::frowns at the woman::
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman doesn't stop smiling:: If you're like me, you'd also not like something unpleasant to befall your friends. Am I right?
QuantumCat10: BM: What're you talking about?
Maeve34: MV: :::glares at the woman:: Just what the hell are you trying to say?
YarnKittymon: : Oh, I'll give you a concrete example
YarnKittymon: if you like, but I find it's more pleasant for all parties concerned if you just do as I ask.
Maeve34: MV: :::grabs the woman by her colar::: I have had a bad week, I dont need any more "accidents" so unless you want to get hurt yourself I suggest you walk out of here and forget you ever saw us!
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman shrugs, putting a hand on Maeve's to try and remove her hand:: Kill me if you like, but then you'll never get him back.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::suddenly looks very pale:: Toby...?
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman glances at Becky:: Is that his name?
Maeve34: MV: :::glares at her::: Killing you would be too easy.
Maeve34: MV: No, its the name of the man in the moon! What do you think?
QuantumCat10: BM: *Why*? Why are you doing this?
Maeve34: MV: And what makes you think we have two thousand dollar and why *us*!? I mean there over 30 thousand people here!
YarnKittymon: : When he pulled out his money, I saw a $50 bill. You can get the money. ::shrugs, grinning:: And I guess you're just unlucky.
Maeve34: MV: :::shakes the woman::: You. Have. NO. Idea.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::softly:: We *can't* get the money
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman smiles, looking at Maeve:: Really? ::glances back at Becky:: I think you will. ::suddenly, for just a half a second--hardly enough time to realize what's going on--
YarnKittymon: Maeve finds herself reliving the very worst thing that's ever happened to her::
Maeve34: MV: :::her hold on the woman slackens and her mouth opens a little, her eyes close for a moment. She turns a little pale:::
QuantumCat10: BM: ::uncertainly:: Maeve? Are you okay?
Maeve34: MV: :::shakes her head::: What the hell was that? :::there is fire in her eyes as she stares the woman down:::
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman looks at Maeve with cold eyes and a smirk:: It's what he's going through right now. No one's ever come out on his own. So get me the money, would you?
Maeve34: MV: What? Come out of where?
YarnKittymon: : His dream. Of course, it's not a dream to him.
Maeve34: MV: Okay. But where is he?
YarnKittymon: : ::shrugs:: I guess I can let him go long enough to get back here, if you like, but you'd probably just as soon not see him.
Maeve34: MV: I am not giving you anything until I *see* where he is. This dream thing, how do we even know its real. What I had was a little flashback. Could be a mere coincidence.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::can't entirely deal with the thought of Toby being in danger; takes a step back, rather wide-eyed, looking like she's about to cry::
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman shrugs again, and in a few moments, Toby comes out of the bathroom, looking rather scared, his hands still dripping::
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman looks rather cynical:: That enough for you?
QuantumCat10: BM: ::runs over to Toby:: What happened? Are you okay? ::raises her hand to his face::
Maeve34: MV: :::shrugs, smirking:::: He's walking. You expect me to believe you have some kind of control over him? :::looking around::: And are you really willing to make a scene *here*?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::looking pale and petrified:: Becky...::takes her hand with his own, getting Becky's hand wet, and holding her close::
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman smirks back:: He won't yell much, or if he does, they'll just think he's gone mad. If I'm in jail, I'm not going to make him better, you know.
Maeve34: MV: :::smirks at the woman and then looks over at Toby::: Hey Toby! Do we have two thousand dollars?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::looks rather baffled:: What?
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman glares at Maeve:: Keep it down!
Maeve34: MV: :::ignores her:::: She wants two thousand dollars and seems to think we have it.
YarnKittymon: : ::before Toby can reply, he suddenly closes his eyes, holding Becky tighter, and trembling::
QuantumCat10: BM: ::wide-eyed:: What's wrong, Toby?
Maeve34: MV: :::turns back to the woman, glaring::: What the hell do you want us to do? We dont have that kind of money! :::thinking to herself, at least I dont think we do:::
YarnKittymon: TY: ::doesn't reply, but very quietly, he speaks:: God, please...just let me stay dead this time...
YarnKittymon: : Then find it. Steal it, get a job, I don't care.
QuantumCat10: BM: Toby, Toby, it's okay
Maeve34: MV: :::mutters::: This is so not happening. :::pauses::: Fine but on one condition. You release him long enough for us to get the money. If we dont get it then you can have him. How about that?
YarnKittymon: : ::the woman pauses, frowning:: I'll meet you back here in five minutes. I'll let him go as soon as I'm safely away. After all, if I don't have *him,* you might hurt me, and that wouldn't be pleasant. ::walks off without
YarnKittymon: another word::
Maeve34: MV: Darn straigh I would have!
YarnKittymon: : ::there's no change in Toby's demeanor, but he suddenly murmurs without opening his eyes:: Becky?
QuantumCat10: BM: I'm here - are you okay?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::softly, not opening his eyes:: Becky...where are we?
QuantumCat10: BM: We're...we're still at the baseball game, remember?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::breathing a little raggedly:: It was...it didn't...didn't happen?
QuantumCat10: BM: What didn't happen?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::holds Becky even tighter for a moment before he realizes he might be hurting her, and loosens his grip:: I was back...back in the lab...
Maeve34: MV: :::walks over to them, looking at Toby sadly::: I'm sorry, Toby. We get out of this. YOu dont happen to have two thousand dollars do you?
YarnKittymon: TY: ::finally opens his eyes, scared of what he might see; exhales when he sees it's Maeve:: Not in cash...maybe enough jewelry; I don't know...what do you need it for...?
Maeve34: MV: That woman wants it.
QuantumCat10: BM: ::softly:: To stop you having these...these flashbacks...
YarnKittymon: TY: ::very quickly lets go of Becky with one hand, reaching into his pocket; pulls out a couple pendants with diamonds in them and hands them to Maeve, his eyes wide:: Give them to her. Whatever she wants.
Maeve34: MV: :::takes the diamonds, looking at them in awe:::
