Stella Mchenry:
Aug 22, 2002 10:07 AM

It was early in the morning, the sun barely shown above the horizon, when Stella awoke.
She looked over at Hugo who was still sleeping.
She crawled out of bed, and got dress, for today she had a lot planed.
Walking down stairs, she picks up the phone, and dials.

A woman's voice picks up.

"Hello, Leslie speaking."

Stella spoke up.
"Hello, Leslie, how are you today?"

"I'm fine, what's your business this early?" Leslie paused.
"Oh, Alex was talking about you and him going to the recording studio this morning, let me go wake him!"Stella gasps than continue.
"Take the words out of my mouth! Yes, could you wake him and tell him I'm on my way?"

"Yes, thank you."

Stella heard a click as the phone hanged up. She grabbed her coat, and went out the door.
By the time she was half way to Alex's house she realized that she should of left a note for Hugo, but she'll just call him later, it was too late now.
She finally reached Alex's house and knocked on the door. Alex answered.

He was wearing a black vest, with brown pants and his hands were in his pocket.
"Good morning Stella, how might you be?" He smiled.
But all Stella could notice was the boxes, and suitcases.
"Alex, forgive me asking, but are you moving?"

Alex looked up with his bright blue eyes.
"Nah, my Aunt Leslie is, she I gave her my fathers estate, and she's moving her cousins in so they can farm and make money."

Stella turned around walking back to the car.
"Oh how neat, farming." She said in a boring voice. "So are you getting the house?"

Alex followed her, taking his hands out of his pockets.
"Nope. She's selling it, and I get however money she sells it for."

Stella got in the car, and started the engine.
"You forgot your trumpet"

Alex slapped his head with his right hand.
"Oh, I'm just so nervous, can't believe I forgot, hold on, I'll be right back."

Once they reached the recording studio, Stella could see Alex's nerves leave, as his eyes brighten, this was something he was suppose to do, Stella knew this was Alex's future, he just needed a push to get started.

In a joking voice.
"Oh, Mr. Indigo, your fans, and press is waiting for you, we must hurry."
She smiled, grabbing his arm.

"You will sing with me won't you Stella, a trumpet needs a singer to back it up."
He smiled looking down at her.

"Yeah, I guess so, which song?" She asked as she enters the building.

Alex looked up at the microphones and the record players, and other musicians there.
"My favorite hymn, I'll Fly Away."

After the recording was over, Stella and Alex listen to what they had just done. They both were surprise that it turned out so well, in fact the man at the shop wanted to let his boss listen to it. Stella agreed, and so did Alex. She knew they were going to like it.

Stella got back in the car, she straighten her hair with her hat, as she looked over to Alex.
"Now what do you want me to do with this check once I cashed it?"

Alex sat down, his face bright and smiling.
"The half a million? Yeah, just cash it, and I'll drive you to the place."

She looked down.
"Are you sure this will work, you know give the Mchenry a good name?"

Alex took her cold hand.
"Make the people forget the bad, by doing good."

After Stella cashed the check, and getting some odd looks, she let Alex drive her to an orphanage. Stella eyes widen.

"You want me to give this money to kids! Are you out of your mind!"
She pulled his arm, but he parked the car anyways.

"Stella, this will make front page news! I already called the press." He paused and opened her door. "Besides, It's for a good cause."

Once inside, Stella talked to the head sister of the Orphanage, giving her the money, and having her picture token by the New York Times. The fact that she couldn't stand kids, and was giving money to them seemed unreal to her, but to give the gossipers something to really gossip about.
After the ordeal was over Stella was starved. But she wanted to go to the saloon first, to get her hair straighten and permed. Alex only agreed to this if she would go to Nathan's with him.

After about two hours at the saloon, they finally left.

"Alex can we please get something to eat." She watched him as he drove toward Coney Island.

"Yeah, sorry Stella, but were going to Nathan's, besides, I want to show you the beach."
He smiled.

It was about evening by the time the finished eating, and they watched the sun go down.
The sunset was of orange and gold, and red.
"How pretty!"
Stella jumped up and down on the dock that they were on.
And below them was the ocean, turning the same colour as the sky.

"Yes, it is very pretty, to see God's works."
His eyes looked down then at Stella.

She looked backed, and she knew she had to tell him it was time.
"Alex, My brothers left me with my father, they left me to die, but you saved me." She paused and grabbed his hand. "You're my only brother now, the only one I can tell anything too."

Alex smiled.
"Okay sissy, hey, do you want to out farther to sea?"

Stella shook her head.
"Where are we to rent a boat at this time of day!?"

Alex grabbed her, and opened his wings. Letting them pick them up over the sea.
Stella held tight, she was afraid at first, but then starting to laugh and enjoy herself.
She had forgotten all her worries for the day, she forgot about the day itself, and the time that which the day held on to. For soon midnight had struck, and brought her back to the land of time again.

By the time she took Alex home, and came pulling into her husband's estate is was about one in the morning. She smelled of salt water, and she forgot to tell Hugo that she was going off. She knew he was going to be up and if not called the police, it just slipped her mind, she had so much fun. She was mad at herself; it was childish of her to forget.

She opens the door and walked in.

Hugo McHenry:

Stella Mchenry:
Aug 22, 2002 11:40 AM

Stella smile faded, she didn't really feel like going to bed, but she was to tired not to. she had to put him in a better frame of mind, after all she was Stella.

"Yes accoures, I really ment too, darling."
She grabbed his hand and looked at him.
Her eyes was tired looking, and her smile could no longer keep.

Aug 22, 2002 11:50 AM

"I don't know what you're so pleased about," Hugo says, yawning. "But seeing as you're safe, going to bed would be the sensible thing to do." He yawns. "I've a meeting tomorrow morning so I will probably be gone when you wake. But I'll be back before dark." Hugo heads upstairs.

Stella Mchenry:

"Well don't forget to read the newspaper tomorrow, you know catching up on news, and such, never know..."
She smiled and hugged his arm.
