YarnKittymon: : ::it's five days before the wedding, and Libby's already walking around like a person stunned, a look on her face vaguely reminiscent of how she looked shortly before stepping off the pier at Coney Island; today, as there's no one in the shop at this moment, she's just pacing back and forth, her eyes darting towards the door every so often, waiting for Maeve, or a customer, to appear and distract her::
Maeve Owens: MV: ::She walks through the door with something clutched in her left hand. Noticing the look on Libby's face she frowns in concern:: Are you alright?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles weakly at Maeve, stopping still, but tapping her toe against the floor:: Fine; why do you ask?
Maeve Owens: MV: ::one side of her mouth lifts up in an amused smile. She glances down at Libby's foot and shrugs:: Oh I dont know, you just seem a little restless. ::she holds up her hand letting a silver chain necklace with white bead like
Maeve Owens: pearls dangle between them:: Something borrowed?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::takes the necklace, lowering it to coil in the palm of her hand; softly:: It's very pretty, Maeve. Thank you.
Maeve Owens: MV: ::shrugs again:: No problem. So, what put that stressed look on your face?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::laughs slightly:: Oh, I don't know, the fact that I'll soon be pledging to spend my whole life with someone on Wednesday?
Maeve Owens: MV: ::smiles weakly:: Yeah but at least its someone you truly love right?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::pushes her hair back from her face, not looking at Maeve:: I'm crazy about him, but is that always enough?
Maeve Owens: MV: ::shrugs:: They say love can conquer all. ::gives her a hopeful smile::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles at Maeve weakly:: I hope you're right.
Maeve Owens: MV: Of course I am! ::pretending to look smug:: I've been giving a lot of pep talks lately and I'm getting better with each one.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smirks for a moment, though it quickly fades, and she looks away, not speaking::
Maeve Owens: MV: ::teasing:: Well, gee, I was only kidding. I've never been good at it and probably never will but you could humor me you know.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles, trying to clear her mind of the thoughts that if love really did conquer all, maybe Jack would take a straight job after all...:: I'm sorry, Maeve. Perhaps if you had a megaphone you'd make a better cheer section.
Maeve Owens: MV: Well, if you want that instead of bridesmaids I might be able to arrange it. ::grins::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::laughs:: No megaphones, no bridesmaids, no dress set aside for just one occasion in a woman's life... Just a nice, simple wedding, all right?
Maeve Owens: MV: ::nods, still smiling:: I hear ya loud and clear and without the megaphones too.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles:: Although if my mother does turn up, I may need you to restrain her when the preacher asks if anyone objects to the wedding.
Maeve Owens: MV: Glad to, just let me know where the nearest closet is. ::smiles, thinking about when she shoved Fox into the closet::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::laughs:: Well, you have my permission.
Maeve Owens: MV: ::laughs::
